The Russo-Ukrainian war alters many meanings and aspects of our lives. Roses of Ties is a textile movement centered on repurposing men’s neckties. This quiet act raises a haunting question: How many children grow up today without fathers—lost to war and armed conflict? And perhaps another: How many men have we lost, and continue to lose?

By reworking a traditional symbol of patriarchal authority, Roses of Ties reframes the necktie through the lens of feminist care, embodied memory, and shared ritual. Each handmade rose becomes more than an accessory—it is a quiet yet powerful act of sisterhood, healing, and resilience.

The project also subverts the legacy of elite fashion houses—Armani, Dior, Cerruti, and others—infusing these once status-laden materials with new layers of meaning. What once symbolized prestige and dominance now speaks of survival, tenderness, and transformation. Here, fashion becomes a medium of empowerment, well-being, and the collective shaping of a more conscious, compassionate community.

Today, our activities are recognized as Global textile Movement, and women around the world are uniting with us for peace and freedom.
