Ludmila Christeseva has been nominated several years in a row for the Nelson Mandela Prize by the City of Stockholm.

A Documentary by NYC-Based Filmmaker Hsuan-Yu Pan

In the upcoming documentary Weaving by Hsuan-Yu Pan, the journey of Ukrainian refugees unfolds through the lens of arts, crafts, and remembrance, led by Belarusian-Swedish artist Ludmila Christeseva. Filming began in 2022 during Christeseva’s artist residency at ESKFF at Mana Contemporary. That same year, she presented her work at Times Square, and the following year, she was invited by the Human Rights Foundation to the Oslo Freedom Forum as an artist with the project #WomenWeaveForPeace. In recognition of her ongoing dedication, Ludmila Christeseva has been nominated several years in a row for the Nelson Mandela Prize by the City of Stockholm.
