A Virtual Journey Through Taste and Tradition
Discover the rich flavors, memories, and culture of Belarus with “Belarus Gourmet Destination.” This project invites Belarusians to unite by sharing treasured family recipes passed down from grandmothers and mothers.
We are curating an online digital recipe book featuring these traditional Belarusian dishes, translated into both Swedish and English. For those who wish to hold these stories and flavors in their hands, a printed edition will be available for order. The book, titled:
“The Taste of Belarus in Times of Dictatorship”
is designed by renowned Belarusian graphic designers and illustrated by artists living in exile.
At a time when visiting Belarus is unsafe, this project preserves and shares our national identity and cultural heritage, offering a taste of home to a global audience. Through these recipes, we keep our culinary traditions alive, celebrated, and accessible to all.
