Artist: Ludmila Christeseva
Photography Workshop with Photographer Sebastian von Wachenfeldt: Documenting Participatory Art
Participants’ age: 16–21
Co-partner: House of Ukraine Stockholm
En plats för kvinnan is a participatory public art performance exploring visibility, solidarity, memory, and women’s presence in public space.
Through artistic vulnerability, collective movement, textile elements, photography, and audience participation, the performance transforms the public environment into a temporary space for dialogue and reflection. Participants are invited to collectively create a symbolic space for women through sewing, painting, photography, communication, and collective presence.
The work reflects on whose stories are represented in public space, whose voices are remembered, and how collective creative practices can function as tools for democratic participation, healing, and social connection.
The project connects to contemporary research within participatory art, feminist spatial practices, socially engaged art, and community-based artistic methodologies.

Roses of Ties
Participatory Workshop, free of charge.
Roses of Ties is led by Ukrainian women and focuses on collective textile practices, participatory workshops, storytelling, and socially engaged art developed during the turbulent years of war and displacement.
Through the transformation of men’s ties into symbolic textile roses, the workshop creates space for dialogue, healing, solidarity, and collective reflection. Participants are invited to engage in conversations around migration, identity, women’s experiences, resilience, and the role of crafts as tools for community-building and emotional support.
