I feared love the most until I folded a tie into a rose and pinned it close to my heart.
In that moment, I felt my heart beating. I realized that anything can become a rose, and that wearing something close to the heart means nurturing love.
I truly hope that the Roses of Ties project will give people who walk through life with empty hands – afraid to open themselves, afraid of love, afraid to let warmth reach them – the possibility of transformation.
