Ludmila Christeseva is Nominated for the Nelson Mandela Prize 2026.
The Nelson Mandela Prize 2026 is awarded annually by the City of Stockholm to recognize initiatives that contribute to a more inclusive and open society. This nomination reflects not only important work Ludmila Christeseva is doing, but the collective processes she is encouraging – she is working with women in exile, creating spaces through art, craft, and shared experiences where stories can be told, connections formed, and resilience strengthened.
The winner will be announced in June 2026, and we are looking forward that Ludmila Christeseva will be selected for her art projects, which have transformed the lives of many people in exile and continue to create opportunities for those who seek connection, expression, and belonging.
