More than 30 students participated in the Roses of Ties workshop in Zagreb, creating artworks that are now presented in the exhibition at the museum Cravaticum. Each participant brought a tie carrying personal, historical, or cultural memories – transforming them together into roses.
It was a privilege to work with fashion students from the Department of Textile and Clothing Design at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Textile Technology, led by Assistant Professor Ivana Mrčela and Associate Professor Lea Popinjac.
Through craft, storytelling, and collective making, the workshop explored how a symbol of authority – the tie – can be reimagined as a gesture of memory, care, and connection.
Thank you to all the students for their creativity, support, and undeniable solidarity in this shared artistic process.
