Today, 24 February, marks four years of war since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
My children once asked me if they had to choose a side – their father Russian, their stepmother Ukrainian, born Swedish, with a Belarusian mother. Should children have to divide their hearts to survive the world we have created? War breaks not only borders, but families and futures.
That is why I launched Roses of Ties – to heal, to tie nations together, and to carry a symbol of love and hope close to the heart.
